Vipers Top Maroons 2-1 In OT

The LaSalle Vipers took a 2-0 playoff series lead following a 2-1 overtime victory over the Chatham Maroons on Thursday.

The Maroons were quick to take the lead in the first period with Justin Badour scoring 3:19 into the frame. However, Max Sieberer scored for LaSalle just over eight minutes into the game to tie things up.

With no scoring in the second and third periods, the game went into OT where Bradley Vincent scored the game-winner for the Vipers after 36 seconds.

The two teams will face off again for Game 3 on Saturday. The puck drops at 7pm in LaSalle.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
