Vacant House Goes Up In Flames

Drivers heading into Chatham on Queens Line early Thursday morning may have seen the flames from a structure fire.

A couple of stations were called out to the blaze at 7310 Queens Line around 3:45am.

Whitney Burk, public educator with Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services, says few details are known at this time. However, no injuries were reported.

No one was living in the house at the time of the fire. It has been ruled as accidental.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
