Driver Charged After Single-Vehicle Crash

A 49-year-old Windsor man is facing charges after a single-vehicle crash.

Ontario Provincial Police say it happened around 7am Saturday on westbound Hwy 401 near Queens Line, east of Tilbury.

Police say the driver lost control of his vehicle, hit the centre median guardrail, then came to rest across the westbound lanes of the highway.

There were no injuries.

The driver has been charged with careless driving, the OPP say.

That section of Hwy 401 was shut down for about an hour to allow crews to remove the disabled vehicle and clean up the highway.
