UPDATE: Fire At Empty House Near Thamesville

Chatham-Kent fire officials say the damages are estimated at $100,000 after an empty home went up in flames near Thamesville early Wednesday morning.

Fire crews from Thamesville were called to an address on Florence Rd. near Fairfield Line at around 4:45am Wednesday.

Initial reports indicate a residence there was already going up in flames by the time firefighters arrived.

Fire officials say they aren't sure what sparked the blaze yet and they have contacted the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management to help with their investigation.
