UPDATE: Weather Statement Ends

Environment Canada has ended a special weather statement for Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex.

The weather agency issued the alert on Saturday morning, with forecasters calling for 30 to 40mm of rain.

Minor flooding may still occur in some areas that are expected to receive amounts up to 50mm overnight. Some water pooling has been seen throughout the region.

A flood outlook remains in effect for the Lake Erie shoreline. Though most of the rain has moved out of the region, sustained winds out of the east and northeast are forecast at up to 20 km/hr, with gusts to 25km/hr.

This area was affected by last month's wind storm and may still be vulnerable to changing weather conditions.
