UPDATE: Weapons Call Near Hospital Comes Up Empty

Chatham-Kent police say no criminal charges will be laid after someone called in to report that a man with a gun was sitting outside the hospital in Chatham.

Police say they got the call at around 6:30pm Thursday and officers flooded the area, but determined the man didn't have a weapon after all.

A 48-year-old Wallaceburg man was taken into custody and escorted to the hospital for an assessment.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
