Slashing Tires With A Steak Knife

A 23-year-old Dresden man is charged with assault and mischief after he allegedly slashed someone's tires with a steak knife during an argument.

He's also accused of swinging the knife at the vehicle's owner.

Police say that happened Monday night, while the accused was visiting a family in Dresden that he knows. Officers say the man allegedly got into an argument with the homeowner before he pulled out the knife and started slashing.

The man allegedly left the area before police arrived, but they picked him up Tuesday night and charged him.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
