Three People Hurt In South Bruce Crash

Police are still piecing together what happened in a crash on Hwy. 9 in South Bruce that injured three people, including two from Chatham.

The crash between the pick-up truck and a car happened just after noon on Saturday between Bruce Count Rd. 3 and Sideroad 21/22 in Carrick Township.

A 74-year old man and a 71-year old woman, both from Chatham, had to be airlifted from the scene and were taken to a London hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A 16-year old from South Bruce, who was the driver of the pick-up, was treated and released from hospital.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
