Skipping Out On DNA Appointment

Chatham-Kent police say a 36-year-old Chatham man is in more trouble with the law after he allegedly failed to provide them with a DNA sample.

Officers say the court order to provide a DNA sample was part of the man's sentence on May 29 for an undisclosed criminal offence.

After he allegedly skipped out on that order, police issued a warrant for the man's arrest and picked him up Wednesday afternoon.

He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two Arrests After Domestic Disturbance

Two people in their 20s are facing assault-related charges after police responded to a domestic incident at a Wallaceburg apartment.

Police say that took place Wednesday afternoon.

A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and a 23-year-old woman was also arrested -- she was charged with assault.

Police say both of the accused are being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Electronics, Watch Stolen During Break-In

Police are trying to track down a stolen PlayStation 3 gaming system, an Internet modem, and a Michael Kors watch that were all stolen from a home in Chatham.

Investigators say they were stolen from a residence on Adelaide St. sometime between 12pm and 5pm Wednesday.

Anyone with information should contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Mountain Bike Stolen

Chatham-Kent police say they're looking for a Norco mountain bike that was stolen from a garage on Thornhill Cres. in Chatham Wednesday night.

Police say someone broke in and stole the bike sometime between 8pm and 10pm.
