Four Names Knocked Off CKPS Wanted List

Chatham-Kent police say over the past 24 hours, they have managed to arrest four people who were on their wanted list.

Officers say a 27-year-old Chatham man who was wanted for aggravated assault and skipping out on a court date and a 37-year-old Chatham man who was wanted on two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions were both arrested Monday afternoon.

A 36-year-old Chatham woman who was wanted in connection with a fraud investigation was arrested Monday night. And a 27-year-old Kent Bridge man who was wanted for uttering threats was arrested early Tuesday morning.

Women Drunk In Public

Police say they arrested two local women Monday night who were both allegedly too drunk to take care of themselves.

Officers say they picked up a 34-year-old woman in Chatham and a 54-year-old woman on Dufferin Ave. in Wallaceburg.

They were both charged with being intoxicated in a public place and held in custody until they sobered up.

Meat Theft At Walmart In Chatham

A 28-year-old Chatham woman is in trouble with the law after she was allegedly caught trying to steal some meat from Walmart.

Officers say they arrested her after getting a call about a shoplifting complaint at around 3pm Monday.

Police say the woman they arrested was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for a previous shoplifting incident at No Frills in Chatham.

She was charged and released with a future court date.

Silverado Stolen From Thamesville Residence

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to find a green 1998 Chevrolet Silverado that was stolen from a residence on Jane St. in Thamesville.

Police say it was taken sometime between 10pm Sunday and 6am Monday.

The truck has a green topper on it and was last seen with Ontario licence plates AF23968.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
