Shotguns Stolen In Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for help to track down a pair of shotguns that were stolen from a residence in Chatham.

Officers say the home on Lacroix St. was unlocked when unknown suspects broke in sometime between 8:50am and 12:45pm Monday.

Investigators say whoever broke in, stole a Remington 11-87 Premiere 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun and a Fair Jubilee Prestige 16-gauge shotgun.

Officers say some shotgun ammo was also stolen during the break-in.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
