UPDATE: Hwy. 401 Reopened Following Rollover Near Ridgetown

The westbound lanes of Hwy. 401 near Ridgetown have been reopened after a tractor trailer rollover forced police close part of the highway for most of the day on Tuesday.

Chatham-Kent OPP say a westbound transport truck lost control and went into the ditch near mile marker 101 Tuesday morning.  As a result, traffic had to be diverted off the highway at Exit 109 (Victoria Rd.).

The trailer reportedly rolled over, but the cab remained upright.

Officers say the driver complained of minor injuries as a result of the crash.

The westbound lanes were fully reopened around 11pm.
