Theft Investigation in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent police are asking for the public's help to track down the man pictured below in connection with a theft investigation at Sobey's in Blenheim Tuesday morning.

Pair Charged With Theft After Alleged Shoplifting

Two people from Sarnia are facing charges in connection with a shoplifting investigation at the Real Canadian Superstore in Chatham.

Police say a man and a woman were allegedly seen stealing various items from the store at around 11am Wednesday and took off running when they were approached by store security.

Officers say they were able to track down the two suspects in a nearby field and took them into custody.

A 33-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from Kathleen Ave. in Sarnia, are now charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

Another Shoplifting Investigation

Chatham-Kent police say they also arrested a 50-year-old Chatham woman in connection with a separate shoplifting investigation in the city's north end.

Officers say the woman is accused of trying to steal a DeWalt 20v grinder worth about $350.

She was charged and released with conditions and a future court date.

Tools Stolen From Chatham Garage

Police are trying to track down some tools and a bicycle that were stolen from a garage on Shawnee Trail in Chatham.

Investigators say someone broke in and took the tools sometime between 6pm Tuesday and 10:30am Wednesday.

Kings St. Construction Project Targeted

Chatham-Kent police say they're investigating after someone broke into a building under construction on King St. in Chatham.

Police say someone broke in sometime between 12am and 5:45am Wednesday and stole approximately $5,000 worth of tools.

The damage from the break-in is estimated at another $500.
