Extended Bar Hours For World Cup

Want to sip a beer while you watch your favourite soccer team compete for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia?

Even if your team is playing at 9am, you can.

The Registrar of Alcohol, Gaming and Racing has approved the start of liquor service across Ontario at 9am for liquor sales licensees starting Thursday.

The extension is only for the World Cup tournament and ends on July 15.

Bar hours will continue until 2am.

The Registrar granted the extension because of the time difference between the games and local time.
