A Chatham man spent time behind bars after driving impaired.

Police say a 55-year-old Chatham man was driving on Grand Avenue W. in Chatham on Sunday at 12:30am.

He was arrested and charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

The man was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and later released with a future court date of July 3.

Chatham-Kent police say three men were arrested this weekend for being intoxicated in a public place.

Police say on Saturday at 12pm, officers responded to an address on Oriole Pkwy in Chatham.

A 29-year-old Chatham man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and held until sober.

Then on Sunday at 2am, a 27-year-old Chatham man and a 25-year-old Wallaceburg man were arrested on Keil Dr. in Chatham for being intoxicated in a public place.

They were both taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and held until sober.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
