UPDATE: Air Quality Statement Ends

An air quality statement for portions of southwestern Ontario has ended.

Environment Canada had issued the statement for Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, and the London region, with high levels of air pollution possible throughout most of Sunday.

The weather agency had said hot and sunny conditions were expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations.

The statement was allowed to expire shortly after 9pm Sunday.

Visit www.airhealth.ca for information about how to reduce your health risk and your personal contribution to pollution levels, as well as for current and forecast AQHI values.
