Teen Suffers Serious Injuries In Father's Day Crash

Chatham-Kent police say a 16-year-old girl from the Croton area is in a London hospital with life threatening injuries after she crashed her dad's pickup truck just north of Dresden Sunday night.

Police say the early results of their investigation show that the Lambton County teen was driving her father's truck at around 10pm Sunday on Gould Rd. when she lost control of the vehicle and ended up crashing into a field.

Officers say the girl was not wearing a seatbelt at the time and was thrown from the vehicle during the crash.

Police say she suffered life threatening injuries as a result of the crash and was rushed to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance before being transferred to a London hospital.

Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Constable Randy Whittaker at randyw@chatham-kent.ca or 519-355-1092.
