Chatham Woman Identified As Victim Of Fatal Crash

Police have identified a Chatham woman as the passenger killed in a two-vehicle crash southwest of London.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Tuesday around 5:40pm, a Jeep and an SUV collided at the intersection of Glendon Dr. and Thames Rd. in Appin.

A female passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. She has since been identified as 49-year-old Susan Bechard of Chatham

Two other people involved in the crash suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

Police say charges are pending following an investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
