Man Allegedly Threatens Neighbour With Chainsaw

Chatham-Kent police say a 54-year-old Wallaceburg man spent the night in a cell after a dispute over some dogs took a violent turn.

Officers say the man and his neighbour got into a verbal argument Sunday night when the man's dogs were on his neighbour's property on Dufferin Ave. in Wallaceburg.

Police say after that argument, the accused went back to his home, grabbed a chainsaw, walked back onto his neighbour's front lawn, and allegedly threatened her while the chainsaw was running.

Officers have arrested a 54-year-old man in connection with the case and charged him with weapons dangerous and uttering threats.

He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
