Police Briefs-Saturday, August 4, 2018

Police say a cyclist was taken to hospital after getting hit by a car in Chatham.

Emergency crews responded to a man who had been struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Eastlawn Rd. on Friday.

The cyclist was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was charged by police.

A man accused of snoozing in a car while high has been arrested.

Police say on Friday at around 7pm, officers responded to a man who appeared to be sleeping inside a vehicle that was stopped on the side of Talbot Trail in Blenheim.

It was determined through investigation that the man was impaired by a drug and he was arrested.

A man is facing charges after getting stopped by police in Chatham.

Police say on Friday just before 10pm, a man known to police was stopped on King St. in Chatham and was spoken to.

The man was arrested for failing to comply and possession of drugs.
