Tickets Given To Cyclist, Driver After Crash

Not one, but two people have been handed tickets following a collision, which involved a cyclist.

Chatham-Kent police say officers were called to McNaughton Ave. at Reaume Ave. in Wallaceburg at around 2pm Sunday.

No injuries were reported. However, as a result of the collision, damage to the bicycle is estimated at $100.

A 77-year-old Wallaceburg woman who was behind the wheel and an 18-year-old Wallaceburg woman (the cyclist) were both given tickets under the Highway Traffic Act.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
