Tilbury Fire Sends Up Black Smoke

Clouds of black smoke were seen over Tilbury early Saturday evening.

Chatham-Kent Fire Department crews were called to Tilbury Auto Sales on County Rd. 42 near Edgefield Side Rd.

Photos sent to the BlackburnNewsCK.com newsroom show the fire appearing to come from a truck parked in the parking lot. A witness says the heat from the fire was hot enough to cause nearby tires to burst and for paint to peel off adjacent vehicles.

There have been no reports of injuries.

More information will be passed along as it becomes available.
