Early Morning Water Rescue On Snye River

UPDATE: Chatham-Kent OPP say one person is still in the hospital after a near-drowning incident near Walpole Island.

Few details are available at this time, but Chatham-Kent police have confirmed that emergency crews rescued one person from the Snye River near Walpole Island early Thursday morning.

Early reports indicate the unidentified person was pulled from the water at around 6:45am near St. Anne Island.

The person that was rescued was rushed to the hospital for medical attention, but it's not clear what condition they were in at the time they were rescued.
