Youths riding bicycles attack pedestrian in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they search for two youths who assaulted a man who was walking along St. Clair Street in Chatham late last month.

Officers said a 54-year-old Chatham man was walking on the sidewalk in the area of the Nortown Plaza at around 2 a.m. on Monday, August 27 when two youths on bicycles approached him and assaulted him.

Police said the man was treated for non-life threatening injuries in the hospital and later released.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
