Wallaceburg murder case put off for a week

There has been another delay for a Wallaceburg murder case.

Kourtny Audette, who is charged with first degree murder in the death of Nick Laprise back in April, briefly appeared in Chatham court via video Friday only to have the proceedings put off until September 14, 2018.

The next step in the case is to set a date for her preliminary hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
