Man spotted riding stolen ATV

Chatham-Kent police have made an arrest in connection with a recent break-in at a barn on Charing Cross Road in Chatham.

Police said they were able to recover an ATV that was taken from the barn sometime Tuesday morning after an officer saw a man riding it in a parking lot on Wellington Street East in Chatham Tuesday night.

A 44-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with theft and possession of property obtained by crime in connection with the case.

Officers said the ATV has also been returned to its rightful owner.

Police are still trying to locate a number of other items that were reported stolen, though. You can find the full list below:

- 5 ATV helmets

- a Yellow KIPOR generator

- an ATV ramp

- three STIHL chainsaws

- a Milwaukee hammer drill

- a DeWalt hammer drill

- a STIHL weed eater

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
