UPDATE: Charges pending in Highway 40 crash

Chatham-Kent OPP have reopened Highway 40 at Eberts Line following a crash involving a tractor trailer.

The OPP reported the crash on Thursday just after 2 p.m. and the roadway was reopened shortly before 5 p.m.

Constable Jay Denorer said the driver behind the wheel of a tractor trailer allegedly blew past a stop sign and crashed into a dump truck.

Denorer said minor injuries have been reported.

Charges are pending against the driver of the transport truck.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
