Several events planned for day four at the IPM

Organizers are hopeful that day four at the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo will run smoothly.

Afternoon events were cancelled on Thursday because of safety concerns due to the amount of rainfall.

The IPM grounds are expected to reopen Friday morning around 8:30 a.m. As it is the second last day of the IPM, several events are scheduled to happen throughout the day.

Horse plowing will start at 9 a.m. The Canadian Cowgirls and the Team Farmall dancing tractors will put on shows, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. A couple of rodeos are also scheduled, with one set to happen at 12 p.m. and another at 2:30 p.m.

A Queen of the Furrow will be named at the Pride Seeds main stage. Speeches will start at 9:30 a.m. and a new queen should be named just before noon.

The last day of the IPM is on Saturday with the gates slated to close at 5 p.m.
