CK police briefs - Sunday, October 7, 2018

A man was arrested yesterday afternoon in Ridgetown on a warrant issued Sept. 30.

The warrant was for domestic offences that spanned from February to September 2018.

The 58-year-old from Chatham has been charged with forcible confinement, criminal harassment and two counts of assault.

A 50-year-old Windsor man has been arrested for missing his court date three years ago.

In Oct. 2015 he was released from Chatham-Kent police custody and was to attend court in November of that year. The warrant has been outstanding since then.

Yesterday he was located in Windsor and transported to Chatham police headquarters. He has been charged with failing to appear.

A Tilbury man has been charged with a handful of offences after a domestic-related complaint was made yesterday. Investigation revealed he had threatened and assaulted a woman he knew, as well as damaged her vehicle.

The woman also disclosed an incident from the Fall of 2017 to the officer who attended.

The 22-year-old has been charged with assault, mischief, break and enter and uttering threats.

A 30-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested in Wallaceburg last night for public intoxication.

He was held in police custody until sober.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
