Meet Chatham-Kent's Mayoral Candidates

With election night quickly approaching, CFCO and BlackburnNews.com will be broadcasting a special Meet Chatham-Kent's Mayoral Candidates program Wednesday night.

The one-hour program runs from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The broadcast will include questions from the public and a round of questions from BlackburnNews.com reporters, covering a variety of topics including the candidates' stances on legalized marijuana shops in Chatham-Kent and how they plan to address local infrastructure concerns.

Mayoral candidates Randy Hope, Darrin Canniff, Alysson Storey, Robert Salvatore Powers, Harold Atkinson, and Allan Robert Traylor are all participating in the discussion.

Chatham-Kent's municipal election will take place on Monday, October 22, 2018 -- the polls will be open from 10 a.m to 8 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
