Break and enter in Chatham

Jewelry has been stolen during a break-in by an unknown number of suspects in Chatham Thursday.

Police said the incident happened between 8:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Campus Parkway. Officers added other personal items were also taken.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers.

Man Charged with theft

A man was arrested Thursday afternoon for allegedly stealing "something" from an LCBO in Chatham.

Police said it was reported by employees at the St. Clair Street location in the afternoon.

Officers arrested and charged the Chatham man with theft. He was released pending a future court date.

Traffic enforcement

Three drivers were caught speeding in 30 minutes at a speed trap Thursday in Chatham-Kent.

Officers said they were pulled over on Longwoods Road near Louisville.

Police are reminding drivers to slow down or they will be ticketed.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
