Wallaceburg street to be left in the dark

One street in Wallaceburg will be poorly lit for a while.

Several streetlights along McNaughton Avenue have "malfunctioned". The Municipality of Chatham-Kent issued a media release Friday afternoon.

"A burnout of underground cables has been cited as the cause," the release stated.

Entegrus crews are putting together a plan to either repair or replace the streetlights between 41 and 80 McNaughton Avenue.

An approximate date for when the lights will be repaired has not been released, but the municipality said the project should be completed before the end of 2018.
