Maroons top Lincolns 5-2

The Chatham Maroons earned their third straight win with a 5-2 victory over the St. Mary's Lincolns on Friday.

The Lincolns took a 2-0 advantage in the first period, but Maroon Eddie Schulz scored the only goal of the second frame to cut St. Marys lead in half.

Sean O'Brien scored for Chatham 3:44 into the third to tie the game, and Schulz scored his second of the night just after seven minutes to put Chatham in the lead.  Zach Power and Thomas Michaud both scored back-to-back goals for the Maroons in the second half of the third to ensure the win for Chatham.

Maroons goalie Tristan Lewis made 19 saves out of 21 shots on net.

The Maroons return to Chatham on Sunday to battle the Leamington Flyers at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
