OPP name Leamington fatal electrocution victim

The man who died at a Leamington greenhouse has been identified.

Provincial police said 29-year-old Joshua Remigio of Leamington was electrocuted at Great Lakes Greenhouses on Mersea Road 4 in Leamington just east of Highway 77 on Monday at around 9:30am.

The Ministry of Labour said Remigio was working on an electrical panel and works for SR Sprinklers.

The ministry investigator has issued two work orders; Great Lakes Greenhouses must not disturb the scene while the investigation continues and must stop work until the scene is released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
