According to Chatham-Kent police, the incident happened around 6 p.m. on Talbot Trail.
The woman sustained minor injuries, but the two-year-old was fine.
Officers estimated damages at $8,000 and said no charges were laid.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
