Lakeside cottages targeted by thieves

Chatham-Kent police are issuing a warning to property owners who have cottages and sheds along Erie Shore Drive after a series of break-ins took place on that street.

Officers said they have responded to six break and enter calls there in the past 24 hours. Two of the six cottages were reportedly unlocked at the time.

The following items were reported stolen during the break-ins:

- 30” flat screen TV

- 48” flat screen TV

- Bosch hammer drill

- Mitre saw

- Wheelbarrow

- three Sony TVs

In addition to reminding residents to lock their doors and windows, Chatham-Kent police are also asking you to be on the lookout for suspicious activity and to report it to police as soon as possible.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
