Man charged with robbery

Around 3 a.m. Sunday morning police say a man entered a business in Dresden with a knife and demanded money.

The man did not receive any money and fled on foot. No one was injured.

With the help of a police dog, officers were able to search the area and locate the suspect.

A 27-year-old Dresden man is facing charges of robbery with intent. He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with disturbing the peace

Early this morning, police responded to a disturbance downtown on King St.

After reports of a commotion amongst a large group of people, police determined a 25-year-old Chatham man was the main cause of the problem.

As a result, he was arrested for disturbing the peace and released later in the morning.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
