How to recycle your Christmas tree

Now that Christmas has passed, many Chatham-Kent residents are wondering what to do with their Christmas tree.

You can recycle your tree for free if you drop it off at the municipal leaf and yard depot in Chatham or Romney.

They are also accepting trees at the transfer stations in Camden, Dover, Harwich, and Wallaceburg, and at the public works yards in Bothwell, Ridgetown, and Tilbury.

You can also put your tree at the curb with your garbage, however, the tree will not be recycled and will instead go to a landfill.
