Kidnapping, robbery suspects found

Two suspects wanted by Chatham-Kent police have been charged in connection with a kidnapping and robbery investigation.

In early-December, a single-vehicle crash was reported on Park Avenue West near Bloomfield Road in Chatham. Police said the driver, a Leamington man, was forced to drive the vehicle following an "altercation at a residence". After the crash, the alleged kidnapper took the Leamington man's wallet and cell phone and was picked up by three other people who were following in a separate vehicle.

Two people had previously been arrested and charged with robbery and kidnapping.

The other two suspects were found Sunday night.

A 29-year old man and a 22-year old woman -- both from Chatham -- are now also charged with robbery and kidnapping. The two were taken to court Monday for bail hearings.
