Maroons fall to Flyers 4-1

The Chatham Maroons dropped a 4-1 decision to the Leamington Flyers in GOJHL action on Thursday.

The Flyers scored early in the first period to take a 1-0 lead but Maddux Rychel put Chatham on the board with a goal at the 5:23 mark to tie things up. Leamington scored the only goal of the second period to retake the lead, and then added another two unanswered goals in the third to ensure their win.

Chatham goaltender Adam Harris made 23 saves out of 27 shots on net.

The Maroons will head to Strathroy next to take on the Rockets on Saturday. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
