Chatham house fire under investigation

Fire investigators are looking into a weekend house fire.

The Chatham-Kent Fire Department says crews were called around 1 a.m. Sunday to a home on Colborne St. When they arrived, the structure was fully involved with heavy flames and smoke. Firefighters from the two Chatham stations helped battle the blaze.

Firefighters and Chatham-Kent police worked to contain the fire and account for occupants. There was no report of injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown and no damage estimate has been determined.
