Serious collision in Thamesville

Yesterday, around 5 p.m. emergency crews responded to the area of Victoria Road, south of London Road in Thamesville to a single motor vehicle collision.

Investigation has revealed that the lone occupant was removed from the vehicle, transported to Newbury Hospital and then airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London.

A 41-year-old Thamesville woman is currently in the hospital with critical injuries.

Ridgetown break and enter

Sometime between January 13 and January 17 an unknown suspect forced their way into a building on Albert Street in Ridgetown.

An estimated value of $20,000 in tools and electronics were stolen.

R.I.D.E. programs

Saturday morning around 1 a.m. officers conducted a R.I.D.E program on Talbot Road E. at Erie Street S. in Wheatley.

Approximately ten vehicles were checked and there were no violations of the law.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
