UPDATE: Woman seriously injured after vehicle collides with tree

A woman is fighting for her life after a serious collision in Thamesville.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said on Friday around 5 p.m., the woman's vehicle crashed into a tree while travelling southbound on Victoria Road just south of London Road.

The lone occupant of the car was rushed to a local hospital and later airlifted to a hospital in London. A 41-year-old Thamesville Woman remains in hospital with critical injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while police conducted crash reconstruction.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
