Wallaceburg man wins $100K

A 61-year-old man from Wallaceburg is cashing in a cheque for $100,000 after winning on a Lotto 6/49 Super Draw.

Donald Wonderly recently picked-up his winnings in Toronto from the February 16 draw.

Wonderly said he was in Niagara Falls, celebrating his anniversary with his wife when he checked the winning lotto ticket.

"I was in shock and disbelief!"

Wonderly is a public transportation worker and said he plans to put the winnings away for his retirement.

"I am close to retirement, but maybe now I can retire a little earlier," he said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s Convenience Store on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.
