Man arrested on a warrant

Ontario Provincial Police were able to locate a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The 30-year old Amherstburg man was released with a recognizance on March 2018 and was expected to appear in court on a later date, but never showed up.

On March 2019 he was found by the OPP and then turned over to Chatham-Kent Police.

He was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters.

He is now waiting for a bail hearing.

Woman involved in assault turns herself in 

A Chatham woman turned herself into Chatham Kent Police after a domestic dispute.

The 23-year old woman had a warrant for her arrest but has since been released.

She now has a future court date for four counts of assault.
