High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of the 130th annual Business Excellence Awards.
The Entrepreneur of the Year is Elizabeth Suni from Wooly Doodle, the Young Entrepreneur is Matthew Vanheule from MPVWIFI, while the Youth Entrepreneur of the Year is Hannah Beintema.
The Business of the Year (Small) is Nest Realty.
The Business Individual of the Year is John Fry of JM Fry Furniture Design, while the Young Business Individual of the Year goes to Morena McDonald of 519 Events &amp; Promotions.
The Citizen of the Year is Brenda Leclair, the Executive Director of Outreach for Hunger, and Community Living Chatham-Kent is the Corporate Citizen of the Year.
The awards will be handed out on Thursday, April 11th Club Lentina in Chatham. Tickets for the dinner can be purchased by <a href="http://www.chatham-kentchamber.ca/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">contacting the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce</a>.
