The Amber Alert was issued shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday after Jannah Jaffri was abducted from Armadale Public School and the girl was located just over an hour later in good health.
Police said Soloman Jaffriher, the girl's father, was arrested. He was later released from custody. In a post on his Facebook page, Jaffriher said he did not abduct his daughter.
Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
