Fire crews put out fire at abandoned house

Chatham-Kent firefighters kept busy Saturday night, battling a fire at an abandoned house.

The fire broke out around 10:45 p.m. on Croton Line. Crews from Dresden and Chatham North responded to the initial call and firefighters from Chatham South were eventually called to the scene to help with the flames.

The cause is unknown at the time and no injuries are being reported.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
