Charges laid in Highway 401 crash at Communication Road

A 69-year-old man from Guelph has been charged with careless driving following a crash on Highway 401 at Communication Road Wednesday morning.

Provincial police closed the eastbound lanes of the highway at Communication Road/ Highway 40 at around 10 a.m. Police said a driver lost control of the vehicle which caused a rollover collision.

Two people were inside the vehicle at the time and both had to be treated for minor injuries.

The eastbound lanes of the highway reopened just before 12 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
