Two job fairs planned in Chatham-Kent

Job seekers in Chatham-Kent are being invited to two job fairs on Wednesday.

Cascades Casino is looking to hire employees for its new location and is looking to fill all positions. The job fair will be held at the John D. Bradley Centre on Richmond Street in Chatham from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

A second job fair is being hosted by the Chatham Employment Resource Centre and is geared toward getting jobs for people up to 30 years old. The fair will feature over 10 employers from across the region including Burger King, Popeyes, the Canadian Armed Forces, and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. The fair is set to go from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Studio One on William Street in Chatham.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
